#myselfiescrapbook | WEEK FOUR

Here I am again. Ticked another item off my "catching-up lists". First was my #the100dayproject, my 100 days of quotes which I will be sharing here also in a few days. And second, got our 2008 printed photos in an album. YAY!!! for me... Third, this one, #myselfiescrapbook mini album.

The class has long been finished; however, you can read it here. I had to put it off for a while since we were already preparing for our move here in Dubai and at the same time we sent the boys back to Philippines for good. Again, I'm not into selfies but this project by Jen & Julie gave me the chance to re-evaluate myself & helped me to love myself for whatever form I am. For the last week, we were to show how we thrive & to love ourselves.

You can view my week one, week two & week three. Here's my last week.
How I thrive.

Scrapbooking & Project Life are just two of the ways I thrive. When I'm not into my creative mood, I sort out myself at the kitchen. And I thank God for our 8 year old ever trusted bed, there are times I just lie down, tuck myself under the cool blanket & fluffy pillows, letting go of my thoughts while listening to Christian music (KNVBC & BRN Radio).

But above these things, I have to thrive because & for my boys, my #2, #3, & my #1 constant K. I have to compose myself & move towards the mark.

Just had to include a family photo for my selfie scrapbook. I won't feel complete as myself without these three. We're not perfect & far from the ideal but it is only by God's grace that we are intact even if the boys are miles apart from us.

Before I end this mini book, I found this quote to remind me that I am beautiful no matter how I look.

Added this brush script freebie from Jodie York...

Here's my completed #myselfiescrapbook mini album.

Thanks for dropping by.

#myselfiescrapbook | WEEK THREE

#myselfiescrapbook class is almost ending & my mini is getting chunkier by the week. Here's my week three. You can view my week one here & my week two here. The prompt for week three is from Jessica from Color Cast Designs, "one selfie four ways". You can read all about the prompt here. I must admit, I felt inconvenient taking selfies for this prompt as well as having it printed at the print shop & even posting it online.  I'm just not into selfie but this project is exceptional since it's making me accept myself with all my shortcomings. So... here goes...

The stamp was from Daiso which I got a few years ago.

Here I'm showing 4-me with my usual brisk walking attire. Still trying hard to stay healthy & fit. The circle embellishment was a freebie for this project from Alex Hunter Designs. I re-sized it to fit my circle punch. The chipboard embellishments are from Studio Calico

The circle embellishment still from Alex Hunter Design & the star is from Studio Calico.

#myselfiescrapbook | WEEK TWO

Here's my week two for #myselfiescrapbook. As usual, I'm always late posting/sharing my prompts. You can find my first week here. For the second week, the prompt was "from where I stand" from Kellie of Give a Girl a Blog. You can read about the prompt here

I used the freebies from Little Lamm Co. for the brushed words & the journal card is a freebie from Digital Design Essential. I added a chipboard heart from Studio Calico.

Here I still used freebies from Little Lamm Co. for the brushed word, the journal card from Big City Quiet Designs, & the embellishment is from Studio Calico digitals.

Still the brushed words is from Little Lamm Co. & the journal card from Big City Quiet Designs. The banner embellishment is a brushed stamp from Christine Herrin that I printed on a scrapped patterned paper then cut into banner.

Brushed words is from Little Lamm Co. & the journal card from  Digital Designs Essentials.

The "self-love" embellishment I cut from the journal card from Big City Quiet Designs.

#myselfiescrapbook | WEEK ONE

I've been contemplating on creating a new mini but had no idea about what until I saw the IG post of Make Ideas Happen about this #myselfiescrapbook free class. Got interested right away. It's challenging since I don't document about myself. I seldom post photos of me on my social media accounts & I'd rather be at the back of the camera. But since life is short & I want my boys (& our next generations) to remember me when the time comes that I have to go, including myself in our photos became a goal for me. This project is teaching me to love myself, accept myself fully with all the flaws & be confident on who I am. So, this is an awesome project & I'm glad that Jen, Julie, Kellie, Mandy, Jessica & Jodie created this free class.

Yes, I 'm 2 weeks behind on posting my first week #myselfiescrapbook. I only get to go to the print shop once a month for my Project Life but because of this project I am having a weekend trip to the town for my photos. Looking at the participants' #myselfiescrapbook pages inspire me & I hope people would also be inspired with what I share about this project.

4x4 would be my go to size for this mini & I intended to use less embellishment as possible since I don't have enough materials on hand. Just like all my other minis, I don't mind if the colors of embellishment & papers mismatch. I initially typed my journaling on the photos but when the prints came out, I didn't like it. Good thing, we had to go back to the town the next day & had my photos reprinted without the typed journaling. Eventually, I opted to handwriting my journaling. It's another challenge for me since I'm not that good in writing (with the grammar & all) or in expressing my thoughts & emotions through writing.

Found an old round chipboard, cut it slightly bigger than 4x4 for the covers. I've been wanting to use vellum on my minis but I couldn't find any vellum here or I keep on forgetting to go to the big bookshop & look for the vellum. Here I used K's tracing paper, printed #myselfiescrapbook & cut to 4x4.

The journal card is a freebie for this class from Digital Design Essentials which I cut to 3x3.

The journal card I used here is from my store

This quote is from Ali Edwards from her Give Sunday on her blog & printed it on a 3x4 paper.

The journal card & the circle pattern here are from The Teal Lime Press as another freebie for the class.
